This year we’ve been delighted to see your generous car donations for many of our official charity partners. Cars have been donated to small but important causes like the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and the Battle of Britain Memorial Fund, while we’ve seen record numbers of vehicles being donated to big organisations such Cancer Research UK – doing crucial work in their field.
As we head to the end of the year we thought it would be a good time to celebrate some of the car donation milestones we’ve seen during 2025 – giving those charity partners the opportunity to explain what these vital funds can help them to achieve and of course to say thank you to you!
Here’s what our 2025 car donation milestone charities have to say:

“Working with Charity Car has provided us with a valuable source of funds that we simply wouldn’t have received otherwise. At Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital, we’re passionate about raising awareness of the environmental impact humans can have – to protect wildlife and their habitats. So, we’re delighted to partner with Charity Car, that shares that environmental concern and can turn something as simple as an unwanted vehicle into meaningful support for our cause.
The £5,000 now generated through this unique donation method has already helped to fund our vital work caring for sick and injured wild animals, with the hope of getting them healthy for release back to the wild. If you’ve chosen to donate your old car to us, thank you so much for your generosity. With the cost of animal care, medical supplies and utility bills rising each year, these donations really do help us meet the demands for our service and keep making a positive impact every day.”
Asha Park – Fundraising Manager

“Working with Charity Car has meant a source of funds we wouldn’t otherwise receive and this unusual donation method has now brought over £65,000 to help fund our vital work. This money can help us fund over 3000 scientists in 15 research centres around the UK, investigating new treatments, preventions and cures for the diseases that cause dementia. The money will also help support research into ways we can diagnose different types of dementia sooner, ensuring people can get the right treatments and support earlier.
If you’ve donated your old car to us via Charity Car thank you so much for supporting us and helping fund our vital work.”
Simon McDermott – Regional Fundraising Officer

“Pump Aid is delighted to partner with Charity Car. This unique donation method has generated over £2,000 to fund our work, bringing vital water services and sustainable livelihood opportunities to disadvantaged communities in Malawi. These donations help us repair broken waterpoints, train local water entrepreneurs, and build community resilience. Every car donated means we can reach more people with reliable safe water access, giving communities the foundation needed to foster bright futures.
If you’ve donated your old car to us via Charity Car, thank you for helping us change lives.”
Duncan Marsh – Pump Aid CEO

“At Acorns, we rely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters to raise over two thirds of the £13 million we need each year to provide our lifeline care across the West Midlands.
“Working with Charity Car has opened up a wonderfully different way for people to give – one that’s not only generous but sustainable too. This unique partnership has already raised over £13,000, helping to fund vital care for seriously ill children and their families. That’s enough to run one of our hospices for an entire day.
“Sustainability is one of our key priorities at Acorns. We’re actively working to shape a better world, one where we reduce our environmental impact while continuing to deliver the highest quality care. Charity Car’s business model of recycling, and when possible reusing unwanted cars, feels very much in tune with our vision for a greener future.
“If you’ve donated your old car through Charity Car – thank you. Your gift is helping us be there for families when they need us most.”
Abi Coulson – Senior Partnerships Fundraising Manager

“We are very grateful to Charity Car for providing us with this brilliant opportunity to raise awareness to a new audience and for helping to raise over £5,600 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Many thanks to all who have kindly donated their car to Charity Car and helped to raise this fantastic amount. The funds will help CRY to achieve its aims of preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.”
