The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning.
Motor neurone disease is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. MND can leave people locked into a failing body unable to move, talk, swallow and eventually breathe. It kills a third of people within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis.
MND has no cure.
Six people are diagnosed with Motor neurone disease (MND) every day in the UK, and six people die from MND every day, with up to 5,000 people currently living with various stages of the condition.
People with MND, their families and carers are at the heart of everything the charity does.
Your old car donation could help this charity continue its vital work and get a step closer to its vision of a world free from Motor Neurone Disease.
