This October sees us turn ten years old and the time has flown! We were the brain-child of the UK’s largest car recycling network, that wanted to make donating old cars to charity hassle free… Our big-hearted scheme was born with just a handful of charities onboard, and we now have over 130 wonderful Official Charity Car Partners, all able to offer their supporters this unique donation method.
The last decade has seen so many highlights, from the largest single auction figure of £6444 for Alzheimer’s Research UK – which alone will fund over 300 hours of research – to our latest donation milestone, with a total of £800,000 being passed on to good causes.
To celebrate our tenth birthday, the Charity Car team is delighted to announce that we’ll be adding a bonus £10 to every car donation made on the 10th day of the 10th month!
Whether or not you have an old car to donate to charity during our birthday, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone that’s been part of the last ten years of Charity Car. You may have donated an old car in the past, worked for one of our charity partners, helped recycle the cars that have been donated, or simply told a friend about the scheme. Whatever the part you’ve played, thank you for being on the ride with us. Here’s to the next ten years!
