Acorns Children's Hospice has been providing specialist palliative care and support to life limited and life threatened children and young people and their families across the heart of England for almost 30 years. Whether it’s ongoing medical support, emergency or end of life care, Acorns unique approach ensures children and their families receive the best possible care and support.

The charity operates three children's hospices - in Birmingham (Selly Oak), Worcester and Walsall. At these specialist facilities dedicated teams provide a huge range of care services including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, multi-sensory therapy, and complementary therapies. These vital services are provided from the point of diagnosis all the way through to the transition to adulthood, and siblings and family members are supported throughout that journey. Acorns also provides hospice care in people's homes.

In 2017 Acorns cared for 871 children and supported over 1,100 families, including the bereaved across Birmingham, Warwickshire, the Black Country, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
