About The Children’s Air Ambulance Service

Registered charity number: 1098874

In December 2012, the Children’s Air Ambulance service first took off. They began to transfer specialist teams to treat seriously ill children all over the UK, supporting the charity’s mission.

In May 2013, the charity made its first baby transfer when they took little Theo to hospital for the emergency surgery that saved his life. Today, The Children’s Air Ambulance Service is the first and only dedicated helicopter transfer service for critically ill children. Its mission is to put the lives and well-being of the children in its care above everything and anything they do.

This special helicopter not only takes children to safety around four times faster, it also provides intensive care in the air with highly trained professionals. Or if they’re too sick to travel, specialist teams and equipment are delivered to them via the Children’s Air Ambulance cars. Your old car donations could help to fund this life-saving work.

The Children’s Air Ambulance Service receives no government funding and relies totally on donations from the public, so they really need your help. Keeping their two new helicopters flying means they can reach even more children.
