What happens when I drop my car off?

You'll need to have a few things ready:

  1. your reference number or a copy of your confirmation (either on paper or your mobile device) to guarantee your donation
  2. your ID
  3. your documents (such as the registration certificate, service history, MOT certificate) if you have them
  4. your car keys (including any locking wheel nut or electronic keys and codes) and security codes if you have them
  5. finally, don't forget to remove any personal belongings and rubbish.

When you arrive at the branch we'll:

  1. check that your car matches the information you gave us
  2. take a copy of your ID
  3. take care of the DVLA paperwork
  4. finally, we'll arrange for your donation to be sent to your chosen charity.

If you have any road tax remaining, DVLA will refund you automatically
