What is major damage?

Reasonable wear and tear such as rust, small dents and scratches are not considered to be major damage. Major damage means badly dented or cracked bodywork, smashed glass or lights, bent or broken mechanical parts, such as that sustained in a collision, act of theft or vandalism.
