Don't worry, we're not about to go into the Charity Car team's bowel movements... we better explain quickly that Tough Sh!t is a fantastic fun run event held by our partner WaterAid to raise awareness and funds for the water crisis that millions of people face across the world.

650 million people worldwide, that's one in ten, live without access to clean, safe water. Which means every day, 900 children die from diarrhoeal diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation. 2.3 billion people don’t have a toilet.

And that brings us back to the Tough Sh!t toilet-themed obstacle course race that colleague Jenny gave her all in... and as you can see here, got in a bit of a mess! We're usually all about car donations for this great cause, but don't let it be said we're not prepared to get our hands (and everything else) dirty!

Jenny ran at the beautiful Carsington Water and we asked her to give us a little insight into the day, and the dirt! This is what she had to say;

"I love nothing more than spending my weekends running round getting covered in muck and climbing over things, and this run was no exception! On arrival I could see that the recent rain had done its job and the going was very boggy. The event village was buzzing with anticipation and plenty of people were queuing to have pictures taken with toilet themed props! At 10.30 we were led to the start and we were straight into mud and other disgusting substances (well, we were in the Derbyshire countryside!) and there were plenty of shrieks from runners, mainly those who weren’t wearing very grippy trainers! The marshals did a top class job of keeping us all going and it was a fun race with plenty of obstacles to negotiate, be it crawling under cargo nets, climbing over walls, or running through storm culverts. We finished with a dunking through two water filled skips and then it was off to collect our medals, and this being a toilet themed race, we were awarded with poo emojis (which my 6 year old thinks is hilarious!). It was a great event for a very worthwhile cause and if anyone fancies giving it a go there's another race in East Sussex on the 28th... so there's no excuses!"
