Fertility Network UK understand that infertility is deeply distressing, often touching every aspect of life. They appreciate the isolation it causes, and aim to replace that with a hand of friendship and support.
Fertility Network UK provides a voice for those with fertility problems, and is the campaigning movement working to improve awareness and access to treatment.
Studies estimate that 1 in 6 couples seek specialist help in trying for a child. Yet, despite the high numbers involved, many couples find that no one else seems to understand their situation and experience isolation and loneliness.
Fertility Network UK aim to ease the feelings of isolation on both an emotional and practical level.
Fertility Network UK is the only national charity providing a UK wide support network for those experiencing fertility problems. Through their network, people receive help and support from the day they think they have a fertility problems, right through investigations and treatment and beyond, whatever the outcome.
As well as providing these essential services, Fertility Network UK represents patient views throughout the field of infertility. Working closely with all the relevant professional bodies including The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, The British Fertility Society, The Fertility Nurses Group, The Department of Health and many more. Interaction with these organisations helps ensure that patients have a voice that is clearly heard.
